Victorian Gold Pique Earrings
Unique Victorian (c.1890) gold pique earrings with silver and mother of pearl inlay.
The inlay is in superb condition and the tops have gold decoration and 9ct gold hooks.
Not hallmarked as is common with this age of jewellery (hallmarking not mandatory in the UK until 1973) but hooks test as 9ct with jeweller's acids.
Pieces like this just aren't made any more as the man hours needed to handmake and inlay them would make them too costly in modern times.
Length of each earring 4cm.
The earrings will be sent in a protective box (not the original). Originally purchased in the UK.
